 HOW TO UNPACK TEXTURE:

  1) Go to "SaintsRowTheThird\packfiles\pc\cache"

  2) Unpack any .vpp_pc file with Gibbed.SaintsRow3.UnpackVPP.exe (just drag'n'drop the .vpp_pc file onto .exe)

  3) Now you got a new folder inside "SaintsRowTheThird\packfiles\pc\cache" named as the .vpp_pc file.

  4) Go to that folder and drag'n'drop the .str2_pc file you want onto Gibbed.SaintsRow3.UnpackSTR2.exe

  5) Now you got another folder named as the .str2_pc.

  6) Make shure that you have just two .gvbm_pc and .cvbm_pc files inside that folder.
And don't worry if you have any other file types with the .gvbm_pc and .cvbm_pc in the same folder.

  7) Drag'n'drop a folder with two .gvbm_pc and cvbm_pc onto cvbm_pc+gvbm_pc.to.DDS.exe
Note that the cvbm_pc+gvbm_pc.to.DDS.exe take a folder with JUST TWO .gvbm_pc and .cvbm_pc files as a parameter,
so if you have, for example, 6 files, then you have to group them by 2 in the separate folders and drag them one by one.

  8) Congratulations! Now you have a .dds texture located in the folder you gave as a parameter to cvbm_pc+gvbm_pc.to.DDS.exe.

HOW TO PACK TEXTURE BACK TO GAME:

  1) You need to pack .dds texture back to .gvbm_pc. To do that, just drag'n'drop the .dds file onto DDS.to.gvbm_pc.exe

  2) Now you have a *_PACKED.gvbm_pc file in the same folder with .dds

  3) You need to replace the original .gvbm_pc game files with your own *_PACKED.gvbm_pc.
(Don't forget to rename *_PACKED.gvbm_pc by removing _PACKED)

  4) Now use Gibbed.SaintsRow3.PackSTR2.exe to pack folder with your .gvbm_pc and .cvbm_pc to .str2_pc
     (drag the folder on Gibbed.SaintsRow3.PackSTR2.exe)
Note: You should make that folder content looks exactly as it were looks when you just unpacked the .str2_pc file !

  5) Now you have *_PACKED.str2_pc file in the folder with unpacked .vpp_pc content.

  6) You need to replace the original .str_2_pc game files with your own *_PACKED.str2_pc.
(Don't forget to rename *_PACKED.str2_pc by removing _PACKED)

  7) Now you are in the folder with unpacked .vpp_pc content. Find a .asm_pc file in there. (It named like a folder it placed.)

  8) Copy .asm_pc file and folder with unpacked .vpp_pc content to "Gibbed's Tools" folder. And make a .bat file in there (or use the command promt) to launch a Gibbed.SaintsRow3.UpdateASM.exe with following parameters:
     -v output_asm_file_name input_asm_file_name folder_with_unpacked_vpp_pc_content

  9) Now you got a new .asm_pc file in the "Gibbet's Tools" folder. Replace original with new one.

  10) Pack back the folder with unpacked .vpp_pc content by dragging that folder onto Gibbed.SaintsRow3.PackVPP.exe

  11) Replace the original .vpp_pc file with your own. (it have suffix _PACKED)

  12) Done! Launch the game.

  HOW TO USE cvbm_pc.editor.exe:

Use cvbm_pc.editor.exe if you want to replace original constant resolution texture with your custom.
Make .bat file or use command promt to launch cvbm_pc.editor.exe with following parameters:

cvbm_pc.editor.exe [path to .cvbm_pc] [texture with] [texture height] [DXT]

[DXT] parameter takes 1 or 5 as a valid value. Is 1 by default.

An output will be a new .cvbm_pc file renamed with "_EDITED" suffix, located in [path to .cvbm_pc]
Replace original .cvbm_pc file with new one. (Rename it by deleting _EDITED.)
